Priory House Featured in The Sunday Times Home Supplement

We were delighted to see our client Andrew Buchanan’s remarkable Folkestone home featured in yesterday’s Sunday Times Home supplement. It’s always satisfying when a property with real history and character gets the national stage it deserves, and this article captured both the scale of Andrew’s restoration and the sheer determination behind it.

Priory House is not the usual tale of a quick makeover. It’s an 18 year labour of love, fought against every form of rot, beetle and Victorian eccentricity imaginable. Andrew’s transformation of this once shabby ground floor apartment into a refined, deeply personal home is a story anyone who appreciates craftsmanship and heritage will enjoy. The journalist, Victoria Brzeziński, has done a superb job of giving readers the full sweep of the journey, from deathwatch beetle to the “King of Knobs” moniker Andrew inadvertently earned along the way.

We’re proud to be representing the property for sale. Homes of this calibre don’t come along often, and when they do, they merit this level of attention.
